VT was one of Perth’s largest bus companies and contractors. Operating as Southern Coast Transit, they provided public transport bus services under contract to the WA Government as part of the Transperth network in the areas of Fremantle/Cockburn, Joondalup/Wangara and Rockingham/Mandurah, along with the CAT services in Perth, Joondalup and Fremantle CBD. Veolia Transport has also provided school and charter bus services in the Fremantle, Joondalup, Rockingham and Mandurah regions.
They transported more than 26 million passengers annually, covering more than 33 million route kilometres per year. They had more than 850 employees who we're dedicated to providing a high level of customer service, improving their health and safety performance, and reducing their impact on the environment.
They were also an active supporter of community life in WA. The Big Help Mob was a group of young people that has offered their time and energy to communities and charities in the Perth area. They have planted trees, cleaned up green spaces and renovated community buildings. They are proud to provide buses and drivers to take the volunteers to and from the locations where they are working, as well as offering financial support.

Their bus services in the Perth, Fremantle and Joondalup CBDs. Catching a Central Area Transit (or CAT) bus in the CBD was free. Transperth CAT buses are fully accessible and had vehicle kneeling actions, a driver activated ramp and a low floor design.
